This past Tuesday, September 20, Dr. Roger Casey gave a presentation in the CFE on generational differences, with a special emphasis on the millennial generation, who are among our students today. While there is some generalization in this kind of research, many of the descriptors of this group of young people seem to describe many of our students. Anxiety, fear of failing, and a sense of wanting to make a difference all seemed to resonate with my experiences of our students, especially in the past five years or so. Click on the link below for the powerpoint presentation that framed the discussion and please feel free to comment or ask questions about it here, especially if you were not able to attend the discussion.
