Information Commons Experiment in the Library

We have been conducting a creative learning spaces experiment in the Hoover Library, and we want you to be part of it. The new furniture and equipment we have selected is specifically designed to provide students with better options for their collaborative project work.

Come to our open house event:

Date: Friday, February 5, 2010
Time: 2:00 Open House Event and Refreshments Available
2:45 Comments by Director of Hoover Library, Jessame Ferguson in the Rotunda

Self-tours will also be available throughout the day, so please stop by earlier if you aren’t able to join us for the main event.

Please come, and tell us what you think:

Do these new spaces provide more opportunity for students to work on group projects for your courses?
Might you develop assignments that could take advantage of these workspaces?
Is there anything that students need for their collaborative work that we are missing?

Please share examples of collaborative assignments and answers to these and other related questions here on the CFE Blog.

For more information, click HERE for our own blog, where you can leave us comments about the Information Commons Project. Updates will be posted there as well. Also, feel free to contact Jessame Ferguson at X2281 or
